Ronaldo makes crazy claim about Man United disaster: a sick fish in an aquarium

The ex-Manchester United player spoke about the new manager and the current situation.

Former Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken out about the club's current situation and how Ruben Amorim can solve it.

Speaking at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, where the Al Nassr striker was named Best Middle East Player of 2024, Ronaldo said Amorim has “done a fantastic job in Portugal with my (club) Sporting”.

Manchester United's form has been disastrous: only Southampton, bottom of the Premier League, have lost more games to Premier League teams (6) than them in all competitions.

Moreover, after the first 18 rounds of the season, the team is in 14th place, closer to the relegation places (8 points higher) than to the Champions League places (11 points behind).

Ronaldo hopes Amorim can change Manchester United

“But the Premier League is a different animal, the most competitive league in the world. I knew it would be tough and they would continue the storm. But the storm will end and the sun will rise.

Ronaldo joined Manchester United from Sporting CP in 2003; Six years later, after dominating the league, he sealed a world record move to Real Madrid. He returned to the English club from Juventus in 2021 before heading to Saudi Arabia. In total he played 346 times for Manchester United and scored 145 goals.

“They need it, I said this a year and a half ago, and I'll keep saying it: the problem isn't with the coaches, it's like… I always give this example… it's like an aquarium.

'If you get the fish in and it's sick and you take it out and you solve the problem and you put it back in an aquarium, you get sick again. Manchester United's problem is the same. The problem does not always lie with the coach. It's much more than that.”

“Fingers crossed he will do well and I hope the best for Manchester United because it is a club I still love,” Ronaldo concluded.
