Ronda Rousey set a UFC submission record with a move ‘her mom tought her’

Ten years ago, Ronda Rousey delivered a moment today that was taken in the history of MMA, because she submitted Cat Zingano in just 14 seconds.

When 'Rowdy' on 28 February 2015, in the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, US, opposite her rival on UFC 184, a lot expected that 'Alpha' was a tough challenge.

However, that was not the case.

As soon as the bell chimed, Zingano sprinted to Rousey, in an attempt to land a knee, but it was comfortably treated by the then bantam weight champion, who dragged her to the ground and forced her to tap with an arm bar.

Ronda Rousey defeated Cat Zingano with a movement that her mother taught her

Although Ronda Rousey has cemented herself as one of the greatest female battle sports stars of all time, she may never have reached the top if she hadn't had such a successful mother.

Annmaria de Mars, was a decorated practitioner of Judoka, who was the first American who won a World Judo championship in 1984.

It is not surprising when she welcomed her daughter to the world, she sought to teach her to compete herself, often jokes to attack her around the house, to prepare the prospect of the struggle.

It seems that her bizarre coaching strategy worked, where Rousey scaled the mountain and won the UFC title.

During the Cat Zingano fight, the warrior turned her hips beautifully, her enemy turned around and provided the perfect position to exclude the entry and claim what is still the fastest submission in the history of the promotion.

This is of course a movement that she learned from her mother. According to The Guardian, the combat sportsman said: “I know I have faster transitions than anyone because my mother taught me.”

It has now been many years since the last icon fought for the last time, with Rousey recently announced the birth of her second child.

The appetite among fans to see her re -compete again remains widespread.
