Ronda Rousey's former Understudy Edmen Shahbazyan earned a wild knockout on UFC Vegas 102.
UFC Middleweight Competier Edmen Shahbazyan starts the immense hype with which he introduced in the promotion after a highlight-real knockout on UFC Vegas 102.
Shahbazyan and Dana White's Contender Series graduated Dylan Budka collided with the Apex on the UFC Vegas 102 head card. After trading victories and losses in his recent UFC versions, Shahbazyan wanted to make a statement against Budka, and he needed a little less than two minutes to send a message.
Shahbazyan flew Budka with a huge right hand in round 1 that sounded like a baseball bat on the UFC Vegas 102 broadcast. He ended the fight with brutal ground and pound to make a strong case for a bonus after the fight.

Shahbazyan earned a shot in the UFC as an unbeaten prospect of DWCs in 2018. After completing Antonio James to secure a UFC contract, Shahbazyan won his first four UFC fights, including a head-kick knockout from Brad Tavares.
Shahbazyan's fast climb in the middleweight ranks ended with his first career loss against Derek Brunson in August 2020. He would lose three straight battles before he returned to the profit column at UFC 282.
Shahbazyan divided his previous four UFC fights that UFC Vegas 102 introduces, with an impressive knockout from DWCS Alum AJ Dobson last March. He fell to Gerald Meerschaert in August due to the entry of the second round.

Before he was on his way to the UFC, Shahbazyan was a top protection of Ronda Rousey and coach Edmond Tarverdyan in Glendale Fighting Club. Shahbazyan has credited Rousey because he had helped him reach the peak of MMA and eventually earn a place on the largest platform in sport.
Rousey withdrew from MMA after back-to-back title losses for Amanda Nunes and Holly Holm. Before the Nunes and Holm fights, Rousey was considered one of the best pound-for-pound hunters in the UFC, amid a dominant Bantamweight title line.
Rousey went to the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018 and went to professional struggle after her legendary MMA career. Since leaving combat sports, Rousey has unveiled brain damage that she sustained during her career after a surprising amount of concussion.
After having briefly plagued a UFC return against Gina Carano, Rousey has chosen to stay retired. Rousey set up the stage for MMA for ladies to bloom, with the headliner of the first UFC title fight for ladies on UFC 157.
As far as Shahbazyan is concerned, he is a top middleweight to look at in 2025 and will try to get a winning series to get in the middleweight title interview.
