Roy Keane jokingly checks watch as pundit ‘waits for Ipswich fan in car park’
MANCHESTER UNITED legend Roy Keane joked he was still waiting for an Ipswich Town fan in the car park – a week after colliding with them at Portman Road.
Keane got into a heated altercation with an Ipswich supporter after the club's 1-1 draw with United.
He could be heard on camera saying: “I'll wait for you in the car park,” before returning to the Sky Sports team.
Just days later, comedian Ricky Gervais poked fun at him for the incident during an episode of the Stick to Football podcast.
Jamie Carragher also referred to the match after Liverpool's 2-0 win over Manchester City last weekend.
During a post-match interview, Reds winger Mohamed Salah joked that Carragher would not have nominated him for Player of the Match after the pundit called him 'selfish' over recent comments.
The ex-defender then joked: “I'll see him in the parking lot!”
Carragher and Keane went one step further after leaving Anfield.
The duo posed for a photo in the stadium parking lot as they both held up their watches.
Micah Richards posted the photo on social media with the caption: “This Ipswich fan is really taking his time. We just want to go home Roy 😉.”
Liverpool were nine points clear at the top of the table after their 2-0 win over City.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola's team dropped to fifth place in the rankings.
