Ruben Amorim believes that Bruno Fernandes wants to stay in Manchester United – despite an offer of £ 100 million from Saudi Arabia.
The Fernandes agent, Miguel Pinho, had conversations with Saudi side Al-Hilal on Thursday in a Riyadh Hotel about a package of £ 700,000 a week for the United Captain.
It would make him one of the world's best paid players.
But Red Devils -Baas Amorim has a 'feeling' that the Portuguese midfielder, 30, remains in Old Trafford – and that the club can raise money elsewhere, even though he is not eligible for Europe.
Fernandes played the first half of United's 3-1 friendly victory after the season at Hong Kong.
And when he was asked if it was the last game of the skipper for the club, Amorim said: “I don't think so.
“I'm not sure, nobody knows, but I don't think so.
“He sees us take a number of actions to change all things and I think that's all he wants to stay.
“He says 'no' to many things, but it shows that he wants to win.
“He is very young, he is really good. He must be in the best competition in the world.”
The final loss of the Europa League for traces has closed a disastrous season and threatens to damage the rebuilding of Amorim, including a £ 62.5 million deal for Wolves' Matheus Cunha van Wolves.
United Player of the Year admitted Fernandes after the loss in Bilbao that the club could cash in, where Al-Hilal pushed to sign the playmaker prior to next month's club.
Asked if United could reject such a compensation, Amorim – Die Chido Obi (twice) and Ayden Heaven Score against Hong Kong – added: “Yes. We can find a different way to make money.
“I am the manager, I am the coach, but sometimes it is the player's decision.
“I just have the feeling that he wants to stay.”
However, Defender Harry Maguire admits that “many players” are shown the door after the club has finished 15th in the Prem.
He said: “We will make many changes in the summer. There will be many players who leave and hopefully a lot will come in.
“And that is up to the club to ensure that they are good and it is up to our players to ensure that we are those involved.”
