Arsenal and Manchester United are both strongly connected to Viktor Gyokees, who is expected to leave Sporting Lisbon for a new challenge in the summer transfer window
Viktor Gyokeres is supported to thrive in the Premier League by Nani, because the Sporting Lisbon Hotshot continues to be raised by Europe's elite for a blockbuster summer transfer. Arsenal and Manchester United are among the teams that are interested in the Swede.
Gyokeres, 26, has been in phenomenal form since he was reached a free transfer from Coventry City in the summer of 2023. And his impressive figures – which currently stands at 85 goals of 92 games – have attracted somewhere else.
Arsenal was strongly connected to Gyokees last summer and, as things are standing, the striker is at their end of the seasonal house. Manchester United is also admirers of Gyokeres – and managed by his former sporting boss, Ruben Amorim – although Arsenal is seen as a more likely destination for the player.
United could, however, be tempted to try to surpass their domestic rivals in the aftermath of a glowing reconnaissance report from Nani, who won four Premier League titles in Old Trafford during his match days.
Speaking on the Podcast Rio Ferdinand, Nani presents about Gyokeres: “He does not play the same thing, he now uses his qualities at the right moments, he does not lose any energy every time. Now he puts the ball back to the players who have to run with the ball. He controls the game for the team.
“He makes goals, he makes assists, so I think he is a player who can play in the Premier League. Believe me. If he played the same thing as he was a year ago today, I would say no because the defenders in the Premier League will eat him because he just wants to run with the ball.
“But now he plays with his head and he is really strong. It felt like he was a rock! Powerful. I swear, I swear.”

It is no secret that Amorim is a big fan of Gyokees, whom he has managed during his successful sporting Lisbon official period. And it appeared last week that the striker will be on the move this summer after he has reached an agreement with his current club that it is being sold for £ 50.2 million £ 58.5 million; A figure that is considerably less than the release clause in his contract.
His head coach of the national team, Jon Dahl Tomasson, recently claimed that Gyokeres was good enough to play for every team in the world in the midst of the growing interest in him.
Tomasson said: “Gyokees would be fantastic in the Premier League. He could play for every club in the world and he would score many goals everywhere. [Alexander] Isak are two very different players, but they are both world -class strikers. “
