Manchester United -boss Ruben Amorim has admitted that he must be ruthless with the players in the club prior to summer freedom.
United has passed a miserable season, in which Amorim found it difficult to improve the team's fortune since his appointment in November.
Amorim's side is getting away in 14th place in the Premier League, although they are still active in the FA Cup and the Europa League.
Midfielder Casemiro is a potential candidate to leave, while Marcus Rashford, who is on loan in Aston Villa, could leave permanently.
Vooruit Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are also confronted with uncertain future.
Amorim said: 'I don't like to be the case to show strength.
'If the team tries, and I understand that they try it, but they can't do it, I am not relentless.
“But if I feel that it is something that the team will harm, then I am quite ruthless.”
Amorim admitted that some united players already know that they have to leave the club.
He said, “Everyone understands that you sometimes stay in football, sometimes you have to continue.”
'If I know how to explain it, I will do this because I like to be clear.
'I was a player and I like to use that experience – if you are honest with someone, they can take it.
“In the beginning it might be difficult, but they will understand.
'I am honest with my players and sometimes they know that they have to continue at the end of the season.
'We can eventually talk about that – now there are still many games to play. But that is clear and not a difficult situation. '
Despite their struggles, this campaign is still a possibility that United could protect some silverware.
On Sunday, the Amroim team in FA Cup promotion when they organize Fulham.
They are also on to the knockout phase of the Europa League, where they will compete against Real Sociedad.
