Ruben Amorim issues shock Antony update over Manchester United return

Real betis can be blocked by Manchester United in their attempt to hold Antony in the La Liga club next season.

Antony looked like a player other than the one who struggled Manchester, with his career new life revived by a January loan to Andalucia.

The Brazil -International has scored three goals and set two La Liga assists while the Manuel Pellegrini team chases the fifth place and the UEFA Champions League qualification.

Real betis also hope in a place in the final of the Conference League next month – possibly against Chelsea – and Antony will be the key to their hope.

Sports director Manu Fajardo has already confirmed that the club is working on a deal to keep the former Ajax forward in the Estadio Benito Villamarin, but there are no demanding at this stage.

“It is a source of satisfaction on a personal level (to have brought Antony to real betis), but it is the result of teamwork. Although I am responsible for sports management, many people are involved in this signing. It is still early, but we will try to do everything to keep enjoying Antony in different ways,” he said.

According to reports from the Daily Telegraph, Real Betis cannot afford transfer costs for the 25-year-old, whereby the Red Devils could be offered a second loan at around € 45 million aim.

This summer Ruben Amorim has been given the task of saving the costs at Old Trafford, whereby the club wants to considerably reduce their wage account.

Loan players including Antony and Marcus Rashford – currently on loan at Aston Villa – can be moved to help with his financial goals.

However, the Portuguese coach admitted that the form of Antony is a really positive for United and he could still have a place in his plans for the future.

“All those players who are on loan return and the club will decide what to do at the end of the season”, according to quotes from Diario ALS.

“The talent of Rashford, the talent of Antony, they have it. We are very happy with them, because when you borrow players, the goal is to improve and perform at a high level. That suits us well.”
