Ruben Amorim has praised his side because he is not “boring” during the 1-0 loss for Arsenal, but Roy Keane criticized the low expectations in the club after the defeat.
The new attack by United – consisting of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo – impressed by the fixture while Amorim's side played with a new impulse in the future.
The hosts unleashed a total of 22 shots to the Arsenal Doel, with nine of these from Mbeumo and Cunha, as well as two from colleague -new arrival Benjamin Sesko from the bank.
Despite their promise and threat, the seven saves of David Raya in Old Trafford ensured that Mikel Arteta's side ran away with a clean leaf and all three points in the afternoon after the mistake of Altay Baydir Riccardo Calafiori had given the only goal in the game.
In the aftermath of the defeat, Amorim chose to concentrate on the positives of the performance, where he applauded their improved courage and aggression compared to last season.
“The most important thing – we were not boring. I am really proud of the boys. They were really brave in everything they did during the game,” he told Sky Sports.
“Congratulations for the performance, but not congratulations [for the result] Because we lost the game at home.
“We have clearly earned a different result and we have to continue to the next one.
“We were more aggressive than last year, we sprint more, we were more brave, we went one for the entire game and we pressed High.
“With the ball we have quality, even when the stadium makes some noise, we continued to play as we play. We lost fewer balls in the structure compared to last year, when we struggled a lot.
“We have to win games, but that was a very different game than last season.”
United will try to convert a positive achievements into points in their next fixture when they face Fulham on 24 August, live on Super Sunday.
Keane: Expectations at Man Utd are so low
Sky Sports' Roy Keane took an opposite opinion about Amorim's assessment of implementation, after there is still reason that there is still reason to concern the club, despite the encouraging tones of the new recruits.
“The expectations at United are now so low that even Gary [Neville] Said on comment, everyone is fine with a 1-0 defeat. They have to do better, “said Keane on Super Sunday.

Neville: Man Utd was the better team
Colleague United Legend and Sky Sports Pundit Gary Neville were more cheerful after the defeat, because he focused on the positive performance of Cunha and Mbeumo, as well as other positives that came from the loss.
After the game he said: “I thought she was [United] Well played well, they were the better team in terms of performance.
“We know that performance sometimes not enough is not enough. Arsenal has real resilience and can grind 1-0 victories.
“There were a few positives. Mbeumo in the first half and Cunha in the second half. They showed that they could handle a big game at Old Trafford, they showed that they have the quality and the power. We clearly know that about wolves.
“This is a difficult start. Arsenal is a difficult team to break down. I am not too depressed. I thought the system worked better and the rear three did better.
“Casemiro and Fernandes did well in midfield; they held their own. During the game, Man United was the better team, but they lost the game.”
