Liverpool pulled level with Man United on 20 titles yesterday after Ruben saw Amorim to his side and narrowly avoided the defeat against Bournemouth.
Ruben Amorim has repeated the “Ultimate goal” of Manchester United to win the Premier League title after Liverpool had drawn the level with them on 20 titles.
Liverpool won their second title in the last 35 years on Sunday evening, 12 years after the 20th Championship of United in the last season of Sir Alex Ferguson.
United is currently 14th in the Premier League and could undergo their worst domestic season in 51 years, but focus on a title Triumph in 2028.
“The first is to concentrate on ourselves and not on the other teams,” Amorim emphasized. “The following is to be really honest.
“We are currently at different levels, but then explain that everything can change. I remember that when I start seeing Premier League, the opposite was. So everything can change.
“We have to concentrate on step by step, not try to think too far ahead. We have an ultimate goal that the Premier League wins. Again, I am not crazy, I know it will not be next year, but we try to build something and the small things are really important and we did that in this year.
“We have to improve next year. It is really important for fans, we know that, but we have to be honest with them and work hard every day.”
United disappeared 1-1 in Bournemouth after Rasmus Hojlund was produced in a 96th-minute equalizer. Bournemouth was minutes away from a first domestic double over United, which crawled up to 39 points.
Bournemouth was reduced to ten men when Evanilson was fired in the 70th minute and Amorim felt that United dropped two points, instead of getting one.
“It was a tough game,” Amorim admitted. “The beginning of the game was difficult for us, high pressure from the opponent, we lose a number of assets in our structure and the goal is like that.
“If you look at our games, it is always a bit our fault, the way we suffer goals and then everything is so much harder to do. But if you look at the game, especially the second half and with shipping, we have ways to get into the box, that's something we improve.
“We have created opportunities, we managed to score one, but I have the feeling that we have lost two points.”
