The boss of Manchester United Ruben Amorim dropped the biggest hint, but that Alejandro Garnacho could stay in Old Trafford this month after he claimed that he is “really happy” with the winger.

Garnacho has not had the easiest time at United since Amorim arrived in October, with the Argentinian a peripheral figure under the Portuguese coach in his reign early.

The 20-year-old has sometimes struggled for minutes and is connected to the starting door in the January transfer window. It is said that Chelsea is interested in the winger and there have even been rumors that he could be involved in a swap deal with Christopher Nunku.

But Garnacho's playing time has been steadily improved in recent weeks after he had started two of the last three league matches of United, while he also played the full 90 minutes in the 2-1 Europa League win in Rangers.

“He is a young child, so he can recover very well, he is prepared for this game and we want to use all the talent of Garnacho to win this game.”

Garnacho has also been associated with Napoli, where the Serie A team is said to have a bid of approximately £ 42 million rejecting by United.

It is understood that United wants to retain their star tent, but there have been claims that the Red Devils may be convinced to sell him to ensure that they do not get confused by PSR rules.

Garnacho would look like pure profit if he was sold as a player who came through the United Youth System in 2020.

He has made a total of 119 performances for United since he made his senior debut in 2022 and watches 23 times.
