It is no secret that Ruben Amorim must supervise the changes of wholesalers if he wants to make Manchester United a success.
If the Portuguese coach was in some doubt about the task for him before he arrived, he will now be sure. The Red Devils are to post their worst ever Premier League season and those who look can point to a number of players who are simply not the standard.
United Long to reach the heights they scored for the last time in 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson led them to the title. Just challenging for the top four would be a good start, but a number of individuals should be replaced if that is the case.
Recruitment has been the Achiles of the club for more than ten years and, even with Ineos that enter the building, it seems that those problems are left. A large number of their summer identities have not succeeded in making the number with the club that is going in the wrong direction.
Some of their most recent recordings, many of them have landed for big money, are already considered excess against requirements by those who regularly view the Manchester outfit. It means that Amorim, with limited funds, may have to dive on the market to get the players he needs and wants to get.
His 3-4-3 system requires unique players, namely wingbacks and midfielders that are able to cover huge amounts of land. Amorim has been held on to his system, but that still has to bear fruit while his captain has become the poster boy for this united perilous situation.
Fernandes the problem?
Roy Keane was destructive this week when he discussed the United Skipper. Fernandes has long been a division, despite his statistics often reading impressive. He immediately had an impact when he arrived in 2020, but what many people consider to moan, did not make him loved to some.
Despite the fact that Fernandes placed impressive figures as an individual, he was unable to drive the club ahead. There have been few trophies in between, while there is not a 10 -role in the Amorim system. Fernandes is still a player for whom the club could get a huge compensation if they undergo that route.
That would free up in cash to possibly pursue the kind of broad threat that the team could benefit from. There is probably a shouting for signing Matheus Cunha with the wolves forward with a release clause of £ 62 million.
Issues in the last third part
That could help United to be more productive and threatening in the last third part. Often they have had to trust Amad this season to save them from games and his injury has shown how much they are struggling when it comes to their attack.
Joshua Zirkzee has largely struggled since his summer movement from Bologna and goes back 12 months further, Rasmus Hojlund has also not been able to develop so much. It has United struggled for that no. 9 on whom they can trust.

A new No. 1
On the other side of the field, even though he occasionally fights against his own angle, Andre Onana still has to convince. His signing was seen as the club that evolved their style with the keeper of Cameroon who was able to play in a way that David de Gea simply couldn't.
However, his error count is simply too high for a club with trophy-winning ambitions. Ipswich was another example of the goalkeeper who looked less than insured and does not communicate effectively. Borussia Dortmund's Gregor Kobel has been advertised as a target.
The other man in that debacle was Patrick Dorgu and, despite the fact that he only spent a matter of weeks in Manchester, he has by no means lit things, nor has he seen a clear answer when it comes to the wing-back position. He was left on his debut by Amorim and United, perhaps perhaps looking for more quality in that position. They are linked to Geovany Quenda where the player plays under Amorim at Sporting Lisbon.
