Salah breaks astonishing Premier League record just days

Mohamed Salah celebrated the signing of a new Liverpool contract by breaking an amazing Premier League record.

The wing player ended the speculation about his future on Friday by signing a new two -year contract worth £ 380,000 a week.

The previous Salah deal had lost weight last summer and there had been a lot of speculation about his future.

Maintaining the services of the 32-year-old represents an important boost for Liverpool, which is approaching the title of the Premier League.

Salah was in action on Sunday when Liverpool takes on West Ham in Anfield.

As this season has often been the case, the Egyptian winger has had a major impact.

Liverpool took the lead in the 18th minute through Luis Diaz, where Salah offered the assist.

As reported by Sky Sports, Salah has now broken the record for most goals and helps in a 38-game Premier League season with 45.

Salah has now surpassed Thierry Henry, who had 44 targets for Arsenal in the 2002-03 season and Manchester City Forward Erling Haaland, who matched that performance 20 years later.

There is now a record on the Horizon for Salah, while he wants to overtake Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole, who each registered 47 targeted involvement for Newcastle and Blackburn for 42 game seasons respectively.

It has been a wonderful season for Salah, who has contributed so far this season with 27 goals and 18 assists in the Premier League.

Salah was associated with a move to Saudi Aarabia and stated in November that he was 'more out than in' with regard to his future in Liverpool.

Salah, however, expressed his joy to stay in Liverpool.

'Of course I am very excited. We now have a great team. Before that we also had a great team. But I signed because I think we have the chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football, “he told the club website.

“It's great, I've had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it will be 10. Enjoy my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.

“I would like to say [the fans]I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win many big trophies together. Keep supporting us and we give it our best, and hopefully we will win more trophies in the future. '

In August 2023, Al-Eittihad had rejected an £ 150 million bid for Salah.
