And it could be a party for our experts, as well as at Anfield, if their tips come loose – as Liverpool attempt to seal the Premier League title.
Will Pugh van Sunsport was accompanied by Voetbal Omroep Kweku Afari and Betfair expert Sam Rosbottom to make their opinion about the most tempting selections of this weekend.
Crystal Palace vs Aston Villa, FA Cup, Saturday 5.15 pm
Kweku: Rashford three or more shots 7/5
“It is difficult to gauge Villa, because that was a really good victory against Newcastle, but they were unable to really capitalize against Man City.
“If you look at Marcus Rashford, a player seems to be rejuvenated in Villa and Unai Emery, and the statistics are back.
“This season Rashford had at least three shots on goal in his both FA Cup -Start for Villa, which suggests that he will be heavily involved when he starts.
“I expect Villa to win and Rashford will have a very good game.”
Will: Game to be decided via a penalty shootout 9/2
“Villa has a brilliant season and this offers the chance to go one step further and to lift the cup that their fans are longing for.
“Villa has won any of their last four games against Aston Villa in all competitions, signed one and lost three, gave 13 goals and Palace hit them out of the competition cup.
“Everyone goes for a palace win, but I just can't see it.
“I think Palace is a little more engaged than what people give them credit for.
“A bit of a slow start of the season, but who come into their own performance – a great performance, earned that point a lot, at Arsenal. And I just think it will be a Cagey that goes to pens.”
Sam: Konsa to have one or more shots on 5/4
“Villa has an incredible team – one of the best in the Premier League. On Tuesday evening they brought Ollie Watkins and Marco Asensio!
“It is a semi -final at Wembley. These games are always Cagey and sleek. But I think Villa will have just enough to cross the line with that team depth.
“Because it is Cagey and tight, I see that set pieces are absolutely crucial in this and Villa has a good pair of threats in their team.
“Looking at the center of the center, Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa – I'm going to make a shot on 5/4.
“I think that is a very nice piece of value, especially when we look at the corners. He had four shots in his last four games, four shots on goal in his last nine games.
“It can be one of those (games) where a defender pops up and makes the difference.”
Liverpool vs Tottenham, Prem, 4.30 pm Sunday
Kweku: Liverpool to score 3 or more goals 4/6
“For Spurs forgets to get the progress or decent results in the competition – it's all about the Europa League, so I am very much to support Liverpool in this.
“This season Liverpool has been by far the best team in the Premier League. Arne Slot has done it fantastic since he came in.
“Liverpool scored at least one goal in each of their last 29 Premier League matches -which extend until September, when they lost 1-0 against Nottingham Forest, their only home defeat this season.
“This season Spurs has admitted 10 goals against Liverpool and lost 6-3 in the competition and 4-0 in the semi-final second stage of the League Cup.
“We expect Liverpool to be in a festive mood and I expect that they also score a few goals.”
Sam: Salah, three or more shots on Doel 2/1
“My bet is not much brave, to be honest!
“Mo Salah's had seven shots in his last Premier League match, that 1-0 win over Leicester.
“And he had four shots on goal the last time Liverpool played Spurs, that 4-0 victory in the League Cup. I'm really looking forward to this bet.”
Sam: Maddison to commit two or more mistakes on 6/4
“Anfield is going to be in jovial, festive mood.
“Spurs, while their eggs are very much in the Europa League basket, will want to spoil a bit of the party, so they might want to stink a bit.
“I think of mistakes here and there, and if there is a player who is absolutely fond of a little niggly wrong, it is James Maddison!
“And for him to commit two or more mistakes on 6/4 is something that I really like.
“Maddison committed seven errors in his last three Premier League appearances, so again, he could be the one for the mistakes.”
Chris Eank JR vs Conor Benn, Middleweight boxing, Saturday. From 10 p.m.
Sam: Eank JR to win with a ninth round stoppage 13/1
“There is a hydration clause. This is something that is a bit new to him (Eank Jr.
“We have the chance that he will be stimulated at 23/10 to win by TKO or KO.
“If you look at the plates, these guys keep knockouts.
“Conor Benn has a record of 23 victories, 14 knockouts, no losses, so he is in good shape.
“Looking at that family history, Eank JR to win with a ninth round stoppage 13/1, which in 1990 would replicate Senior (against Nigel Benn).”
Kweku Vecht judgment:
“If Conor Benn gets it done, he will get it early … But I think Eank has too much experience, and it has been to a higher level than Benn.
“And we don't know what Conor Benn would look like if he was dragged into deep water with Eank, so I have Eank to win on points.”
