Salah’s Saudi Pro League admission, £150million offer

The future of Mohamed Salah in Liverpool hesitates and when the 'Egyptian king' leaves Anfield this summer, his next destination probably seems Saudi Arabia.

Despite the fact that Arne Slot unexpectedly filled the boots of Jurgen Klopp and the Reds were both on top of the Premier League and the Champions League tables, the passage of the contracts of three first teams remains painful.

Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have not agreed on new deals and will all leave the club in the summer as he looks now. While the Dutch defender probably seems to stay on Merseyside, and the choice of Alexander-Arnold seems to be between the glory of birthplace and the clear, white lights of Real Madrid, for Salah, the Saudi Pro League is always seen as the following logical step.

The Midden -East would promise Salah a contract that simply could not be matched by his current employers. Saudi leaders made their intentions clear in the summer of 2023 – and their desire to pull him away from the Premier League remains as strong as always.

Al-Hilal Interest

Reigning champions already – Hilal has recently emerged as the best candidate to secure his signature if he makes the switch – and a recent revelation of the transfer can increase such efforts.

The current star player of the team is the Brazilian icon Neymar. After a long absence due to injury and the consideration of a clear desire to leave, negotiations between the 32-year-old and Eastern Conference MLS-Outfit Chicago Fire are said to have begun.

Moreover, as manager Jorge confirmed Jesus, Neymar is not registered for competition campaign by Al-Hilal. This means that he would only be available for Asian Champions League matches if he stays in Saudi Arabia.

Because it probably looks that the 19-Keer competition winners are losing their selection framework, Salah could be the perfect replacement and become the face of the extensive club world cup in which they will participate in June and July.

To confirm the interest of Al-Hilal, one of the most influential figures of Saudi Arabic Sport, Turki Alalshikh, a Mock-Up Picture of Salah placed earlier this month in the club's shirt to Facebook. Alalshikh is the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia.

£ 150 million rejection

Another Saudi Pro League club, however, tried to secure the services of Salah two years ago. In the deadline of the summer window transfer in 2023, a mammoth offer for the Egyptian from Al-Eittihad, who employed a reported £ 150 million figure.

Salah had just signed an extension of three years the year before and remained the brightest star in Liverpool. For example, the delicious bid and the so-called £ 1.5 Mama-week contract of the 32-year-old-fast contract was rejected.

Klopp, when boss of the Reds, stated at the time that the “position of the club remains the same”, insistently: “No doubt about that. We can't [sell Salah]. That's what it's like. “But Al-Actihad continued to plot, with reports that suggested that an attempt was being drawn up in the £ 200 million region but was never submitted.

Salah's admission

Salah is quite pronounced about his contractsaga and repeats the idea that he is 'more out' and that this would be 'last year at the club'. He previously also clarified his opinion about going to the middle -east.

In 2016, who spoke with Sport360 while he seized his trade for Roma, Salah admitted: “I don't know what the future has in store, but I would certainly agree to a professional career in Saudi Arabia.”

Although this opinion was held almost ten years ago, it still speaks volumes about how strong Salah can consider such a movement – one that the current Saudi Pro League sports director Michael Emenalo hopes that can be completed.

“I think it depends on Mo,” Eenalo told the OBI One Podcast last year in October. “The stories that our teams were going on behind him were true, it is true, there was interest. It's ok for me to be interested in signing MO, but the club must be interested in leting him go, and if those things do not fit, you don't have a deal. “

Eenalo then quoted that Salah's wish to leave Anfield in 2023 was not strong because he had the feeling that he had “unfinished things”. If he claims prizes for his goals that set up this campaign and lead the Reds to a piece of silverware or two, such things might be considered.
