Santiago Giménez to miss the preseason with AC Milan

AC Milan would like to return to the fame that the club once enjoyed as one of the elite clubs of European football. The priority of Massimiliano Allegri is that the team returns to the Champions League, and to do this, they have to start working all over again.

The arrival of the second highest Serie A winner as a manager and the signing of Luka Modric increased expectations to the maximum, and during their preseason the team will travel to Asia for a series of warm-up competitions.

Giménez Rust

Forward Santiago Giménez, however, will not be part of the group. He is still on vacation after he played in the recent Gold Cup to Mexico. El Tricolor won the 18th edition of the tournament and beat the United States 1-2 in the final to secure their second consecutive title.

After the Asia tour, Milan travels a little closer to home for matches against Leeds United in Aviva Stadium in Dublin (August 9) and recently crowned world challenges Chelsea on Stamford Bridge (August 11).

Giménez is expected to be available for the Serie A seas opener against Cremonese on August 23.
