Sassuolo chief Carnevali reveals Berardi sale talks planned

Carnevali also says that Juventus and Atalanta have tried to sign the striker in the past.

“Today the most important thing for us and for the boy is that he plays again after his injury, and above all that he returns to a high level,” he told RAI GR Parlamento.

'We will see together what will happen. As of today, there is no request.

“We are all focused on Sassuolo. Then we will make our evaluations, as we have always done in these years, we will sit around the table with the clubs that ask about him, because there is something special, something different with the boy.

“We are always aligned on all aspects.”

Carnevali also said: “There have been more moments, moments when someone could have maybe signed him because the club was also willing to make a sale, but that didn't happen for various reasons.

“We have had several requests over the years, I think from Juventus, Atalanta and other teams, but for some reason it was mainly our will and then that of the player. Maybe there were not those economic offers that mattered would have led us to a solution.”
