Barcelona is again in a situation with regard to their salary limit, and it is no surprise to see some of their players connected to outputs. The latter is Robert Lewandowski. The 36-year-old has another year about his deal after reaching an agreement to extend his contract in the spring, and so far he has maintained that he is planning to see it.
According to MD, Saudi Aarabia has again shown interest in Lewandowski. Since Barcelona's salary limit problems, this has been a common theme, with the Polish striker the best-paid Barcelona star next to Frenkie de Jong, and because of his age, not part of their long-term plans.
As it looks now, Barcelona is planning to have Lewandowski in their team next season, and in theory he would be their starting number nine that goes into the year. Nevertheless, if Lewandowski asks for a move, the club would be open for it, although they would demand transfer costs.
It is also noted that the Saudi transfer window will not end until 23 September, well after the Deadline of 1 September in Spain. This season, with the addition of Marcus Rashford, Barcelona also has more alternatives in the middle, with Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres also seen as options in the middle.
The latest update from Lewandowski itself is that he would like to play for Barcelona next season. On several occasions he stated that he feels that he has for several years at the highest level in him, and Lewandowski was their top scorer with 42 goals last season. It seems that Saudi Arabia should seduce him with a staggering offer to change the situation.
It has not gone unnoticed that a number of Barcelona players have been advertised on the market in the past two months, and the same outlet says that the club does not exclude outputs in the last phases of the transfer window. They call Lewandowski, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Ronald Araajo, Marc Casado and Fermin Lopez as players who can get interested, and more often than not, stories that come over all five rooms come from Catalonia.
