Saudi Arabia rule on summer move for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior

Real Madrid is concentrating on sale for the time being and has already added four signing sessions to the Xabi Alonso team for the coming season 2025-26. The will of Rodrygo Goes, Ferland Mendy and David Alaba have been identified as players that the club is open to the sale, but the biggest name linked to a move is Vinicius Junior.

In recent weeks there has been a lot of speculation on the contracting situation of Vinicius. The 24-year-old has less than two years about his current deal, and as things are outstanding, an agreement to extend his stay after 2027 is not almost completed.

This has given Saudi Arabia, who are long-term admirers of Vinicius, an opportunity to make a move, but according to Cadena Ser it is not a one they want to benefit from, because there are no plans to make a movement.

Despite their interest, Saudi Arabia does not intend to present an offer of Real Madrid or Vinicius itself. There is a conviction that the player would not consider this summer to the Saudi Pro League, since the World Cup 2026 is an incentive for many players to stay in Europe – because this will guarantee a greater chance of being counted on by their respective national teams.

There is no doubt that Vinicius is under pressure to bounce back from an underwhelming and inconsistent season 2024-25 of both itself and Real Madrid. Kylian Mbappe has taken his place as the club's best dog, and although there will be a determination to reclaim that crowd, it is more important that he is recovering his best level.

For now it is still to be seen whether Alonso can get the best out of Vinicius.
