Saudi Arabia willing to pay Vinicius Junior 10 times what Real Madrid will offer

Real Madrid have been embroiled in attempts to secure the signatures of Alphonso Davies and Trent Alexander-Arnold in January. But perhaps their biggest negotiation is reaching the horizon in the summer.

Because his current contract runs until 2027, Real Madrid will have to start contract talks with Vinicius Junior this calendar year. So far, the Brazilian has made it clear he wants to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, but rumors of Saudi Arabian interest in him persist. Vinicius remains grateful to Real Madrid for taking a chance on him at the age of 16.

However, according to Cadena SER, it is not unthinkable that the money could influence the minds of both Vinicius and Real Madrid. The Saudi bid for Vinicius could be ten times bigger than the one Real Madrid put on the table, and on the other hand the club could face a bid of around €400 million. Tomas Roncero explains that there is no certainty as to what Los Blancos would do if that offer became reality.

On the one hand, the move to Saudi Arabia seems like a step backwards in terms of his career, but Vinicius has already secured multiple Champions League and La Liga titles. He could conceivably move to Saudi Arabia and return to European football before he also turns 30, probably making himself the richest footballer in history.
