Atletico Madrid midfield star Saul Niguez offered a new transfer route this summer.
Los Rojiblancos sent the Spain International on a seasonal loan for the 2024/25 campaign when he became a member of La Liga-Rivalen Sevilla.
Despite the fact that he set up his goal to force his way back to the team in the Estadio Metropolitano – after a loan spell at Chelsea – Saul remained outside the plans of Diego Simeone in Madrid.
However, injuries and suspensions also played a role in his lack of fame in Andalucia, and his career continues to float.
Sevilla did have the option to keep Saul with a permanent transfer, but they quickly indicated that this was not in their plans in April.
Allegedly, Atletico Madrid told the player and his representatives that the situation remains unchanged in Madrid and that they want a sale.
Simeone hoped to convince Sevilla to keep Saul, to effectively end his career in Atletico Madrid if his contract in the capital ends in June 2026.
Saul has again come to the Atletico Madrid team for the preseason -training, but his future seems to be sure to be away from the Simeone team as a deal can be closed.
Previous interest of the Saudi Pro League got a dead end after the 30-year-old opted against a move to the Middle East.
That has opened the door to stay in Europe, but leaving La Liga, and Turkish super lying side that has reached Trabzonspor.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the club has made a contract offer to the Saul agent, but they want him to cancel his current agreement in Madrid to facilitate a free transfer.
