School teacher suffers submission loss after announcing decision to quit job and pursue MMA full time

UFC Vegas 104 exceeded Vechtfans' expectations on Saturday evening.

The map started with the Hype train of Yuneisy Duben that brutally derailed by a main kick by Carli Judice before Priscila Cachoeura vs Josiane Nunes ended in a scary face plant knockout that fans scared.

It is the first time that there has been back-to-back knockouts in the first round in female UFC fights.

Every UFC Vegas 104 fight comes, and Cody Gibson vs da'mon Blackshear was no different.

Damon Blackshear ticks Cody Gibson

The fight began with Gibson who pushed forward who pursued a Takedown against the fence.

When that failed, the Ultimate Fighter 31 finalist unleashed a barrage of strikes that Blackshear seemed to be in trouble.

The favorite managed to survive and start his game during a gripping exchange. Blackshear threatened with various choke attempts while working in the fight at the end of the first round.

Gibson was covered with blood in round two. Blackshear hit him with bumps from the top position and continued to chase entries before forced the tap with a kimura.

Cody Gibson is planning to stop his daily job

Although he is a 32-Vecht veteran, who is fighting in the most important promotion of MMA, Gibson still has a day's work.

The 37-year-old is a high school teacher who comes to class at the end of his career.

“I was at the fence about teaching this year,” said Gibson Binnen Vechten for UFC Vegas 104.

“I decided. I have not needed work, training and living at home for a while. This was my first back where I was balanced everything, and hopefully this is the last time I am going to do it.

“In June I will put my position at the school and I will concentrate on fighting.

“That gave me more motivation to turn on. You realize that it will suck a bit, you will be very busy, and life will be challenging for a few months.

“Knowing that this was the last time I had to do it, gave me a little more juice.”
