Sean O’Malley battered UFC newcomer in flawless display ruined by controversial call that ‘stunned’ Joe Rogan

Sean O'Malley was almost perfect when he fought against Kris Moutinho on UFC 264 in July 2021.

Conor McGregor broke his leg famous during a head text of trilogy with Dustin Poirier.

Of course that moment stolen all the headlines and overshadowed the latest victory of Sean O'Malley.

'Suga' extended his MMA record to 14-1 with a flawless striking display against a UFC newcomer.

Sean O'Malley's Tko Win Oppsets Joe Rogan

Kris Moutinho made his UFC debut on late notification against one of the biggest stars on the Roster.

It was a total mismatch in favor of Sean O'Malley, because he made contact with 230 important strikes, which was the second time in a three-round UFC fight behind Nate Diaz, which landed 238 against Donald Cerrone on UFC 141.

Moutinho ate them all, kept coming forward and showed True Grit during his UFC debut.

It seemed as if he was destined to survive the 15 -minute beats to take something of a moral victory.

Referee Herb Dean, however, came in controversial and waved the fight with 27 seconds.

“I don't understand that. I really don't understand,” said UFC commentator Joe Rogan.

“I am just astonished that Herb Dean, who in my opinion is the best referee in the company, just decided he saw enough.

“I mean, he is there, he is closer than we are. I respect him deeply, but I am a bit shocked.

“The child tries, he is not injured in the sense that he cannot walk. He is not wobbly, he is not about to fall. He is touched, but he is moving forward. Very confusing.”

What is the next step for Sean O'Malley?

Sean O'Malley has not fought anymore since he lost his Bantamweight title on UFC 306 last September.

Merab Dvalishvili easily placed him in five rounds before he defended his belt against Umar Nurmagomedov, which he hit in the Co-Main event at the UFC 311 in January.

Despite the one -sided nature of their first affair, UFC CEO Dana White has booked the Rematch.

Dvalishvili vs O'Malley 2 will take UFC 316, which takes place in Newark, New Jersey, on 7 June.
