Sean O'Malley suffered his very first loss ever in MMA in 2020 after he was brutally beaten by his old rival, Marlon 'Chito' Vera.
On June 7, Sean O'Malley will again fight for the UFC Bantamweight title when he brakes Merab Dvalishvili in the UFC 316 Main Event in Newark, New Jersey.
Prior to their long -awaited Rematch, 'The Machine' Dvalishvili claimed that he will hit 'Suga', who has drawn a reaction from O'Malley.
Initially when the rematch was announced by UFC boss Dana White, fans O'Malley accused of benefiting from 'Dana White Privilege', as they did when he received his first title shot after a controversial victory over Petr Yan.
His loss for the Georgian back on UFC 306 Last September was his second professional MMA loss ever, with his first against his old rival, Marlon 'Chito' Vera.

O'Malley had his head of the canvas bouncing by Chito Vera
After scoring an emphatic knockout to earn a chance in the Contender Series of Dana White, O'Malley then produced one of the most viral moments in the history of the sport when he scored a blockbuster Knock -out for Snoop Dogg.
The UFC career of the Sensational Striker started a difficult start because after a debut gain in the promotion, he had to overcome adversity in his second outing, leaving him on the floor because he was interviewed by Joe Rogan.
However, it was at UFC 252 in 2020 when 'Suga' had the greatest chance of his career at that time when he was linked to the old Bantam weight candidate, 'Chito' Vera.
The Ecuadorian was generally considered the most difficult test by O'Malley because of its grim fighting style and the ability to never withdraw.
Early in the fight, both bantam weights exchanged leg kicks with O'Malley that looked comfortable in the opening fairs.
Halfway through the round, O'Malley stumbled no pressure on the ground, with regard to those present in the UFC Apex.
Vera immediately knew that O'Malley was in danger and continued to throw oblique stairs to the knee of O'Malley.
Again, while 'Suga' tried to move forward and land, made his front foot under him and he fell to the ground again.
Initially, the comment team on the desk, including Joe Rogan and Dominick Cruz, was confused by the O'Malley injury.
After a short punch exchange in the bag with 'Chito', O'Malley went back out of reach and fell on his back. Immediately Vera hit the grounded O'Malley and started to rain heavy ground and pounds.
The Ecuadorian then landed a completely brutal elbow directly to O'Malley's face before landing another where the commentary team screamed. Herb Dean stepped in and saved 'Suga' from more damage, which resulted in his first loss in MMA.
O'Malley took revenge over Vera more than four years later
Potentially a positive one for O'Malley on the way to his UFC 316 Rematch against Dvalishvili is that the last time he had a rematch was against Vera last year when they fought for the Bantamweight title.
After he had eliminated Aljamain Sterling to become champions, O'Malley asked the UFC for a rematch against Vera to finally take revenge for his first loss ever.
And when the two met at UFC 299, 'Suga' made sure she brought their first fight behind him when he completely dominated Vera in five rounds to retain his title.
