Sean O’Malley has hilarious response to claim he’s benefiting from ‘Dana White privilege’

A title shot that comes from a loss? You will not hear Sean O'Malley complaining.

The UFC Bantamweight Division was left in Limbo after the successful defending defense of Merab Dvalishvili about Umar Nurmagomedov on UFC 311. Dvalishvili has now cleared Kanshebbers #1-3, after he had to ask Sean O'Malley.

Despite how unilaterally the first fight was between them, the UFC buyer would eventually go with Dvalishvili vs. O'Malley 2 for the main event of UFC 316 on June 7 in Newark, New Jersey.

O'Malley will take the title Rematch for nine months that have been removed from the loss to Dvalishvili without profits in between, but a lot of lifestyle changes.

'Thank you Dana,' Sean O'Malley Fist-Bumps Dana White for Title Fight

During the UFC 316 press conference on Friday a reporter O'Malley asked what he thought of the story that he received 'Dana White Privilege' with this title fight.

As you may remember, 'Dana White Privilege' was a term that Tony Ferguson devised during the UFC 274 press conference. The former champion claimed that his opponent Michael Chandler had received a special treatment from Dana White and Co. For better opportunities within the UFC.

“Thank you Dana,” O'Malley said, giving the UFC boss to his right.

🗣️ Reporter: “Sean, some people say you get Dana White Privelgege. What do you think about that.”

White smiled while the crowd laughed and Merab Dvalishvili clapped in his hands.

“I am very grateful to the UFC to give me a rematch so quickly,” said O'Malley during the press conference.

“It is an 'excuse', call it what you want, I fought Merab with one leg.

“I tore my hip 10 weeks before the fight,” O'Malley raised his torn Labrum injury, which is extremely limited to his grasping training.

All healed and ready to go, 'Suga' promises a 70% better performance in his comeback fight this summer.

Dana White on the booking of Merab Dvalishvili vs. Sean O'Malley 2

The Rematch was announced on April Fools' Day, making some UFC fans hope it was a hoax: a fight they didn't ask for.

It took Dana White a few seconds to answer why the title fight was booked in the first place.

“Um …” White said with a smile.

“This is the fight that people wanted to see,” White replied.

“Except for these six boys here,” the UFC CEO referred to the media.

Whether you are a fan of Sean O'Malley who gets a title shot or not, it's not like UFC champion Merab Dvalishvili had many opponents to choose from all the top 5 who came from a loss. In reality, seven hunters are in the top 10 from a loss.

Song Yadong is the highest ranked competition (#6) in the Bantamweight Division that won their last fight.

A former champion with an exciting fighting style and insane social media that followed, the UFC eventually landed on 'The Suga Show' for UFC 316.
