Sean O'Malley kicked an influencer's ass during a bizarre appearance at a Q&A in Japan last weekend.
The former UFC bantamweight champion appeared as part of fight week for RIZIN's big event, which was set to take place between Ryan Garcia and Rukiya Anpo. However, the boxing star withdrew due to injury and the event will go ahead with a more standard MMA and kickboxing card.
However, the promotion will still welcome O'Malley to Japan for the festivities, which will include a fan event in Tokyo. And in a bizarre moment, he kicked the event host in the butt during a segment.
Sean O'Malley kicks host's ass during bizarre performance
While appearing on stage at the Rizin event, Sean O'Malley was asked by host JOY if he wanted to kick him. This is the standard fare, as Alex Pereira discovered on a recent visit, especially among Japanese fans eager to feel the power of athletes in martial arts.
This was a little different though, as Joy seemed to want him to bring the phrase 'kick his a**' to life in a literal sense. O'Malley obliged, choosing just the right angle before firing a relatively tame kick that still scared the influencer.
O'Malley shared the video on Snapchat with the hilarious caption, “I don't know how to explain this one snap fam.”

Host kicked by Sean O'Malley thanks him for 'sweet' appearance
Fans on social media thought the stunt was bizarre, but it seems Joy watched it all with great pleasure, writing afterwards: “Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the Sean O'Malley fan meeting! He was so witty, cool and sweet.
“I never dreamed the day would come where I would have the opportunity to talk to O'Malley like this after watching him compete in the UFC, so it's truly an honor.
“Even though he is a superstar, he is so friendly and polite to every fan. I thought his personality captured the hearts of many people. Thank you so much for coming to Japan!”
