When Sean O'Malley cut his teeth into the UFC, he looked at the greatest star in the history of sport.
O'Malley introduced himself to the fans in the Contender series of Dana White with an impressive version that the UFC president had convinced that he could be something special.
'Suga' followed that with back-to-back victories in the Octagon and defeated Terrion Ware and Andre Soukhamthat to find his feet in the Bantam weight division.
Nowadays O'Malley is one of the biggest stars on the Roster while he is preparing to head UFC 316 in a rematch with 135 pounds Merab Dvalishvili champion.
During his UFC climb, many comparisons were drawn between O'Malley and Conor McGregor with their relationship now apparently healed after a few critical remarks that were exchanged in the past.

Sean O'Malley would look at the fights of Conor McGregor before he went to the Arena for his early UFC trips
Conor McGregor recently weighed at Sean O'Malley who studied his old fights, but this is certainly not the first time that 'Suga' has learned from 'The Notorious'.
In June 2018, the then 9-0 rising Star made its first performance on Joe Rogan's 'Jre Mma Show', where they had touched various topics.
O'Malley's coach, Tim Welch, spoke during the episode about how the calmness of the exciting striker is one of the reasons why he is so dangerous.

Welch revealed that to try to get into that zone, they would watch videos from McGregor's UFC fights where he would also be incredibly calm and calculated in the Octagon.
“Before that last fight against Andre [Soukhamthath]We probably viewed four fights from Conor just before we walked to the Arena and 'Suga' is sitting there, to enable those fighting. Looking at the way he walks outside, looking at the way he is good with his energy, smart with his energy, and you can really see it in the fight, the way he mimics them. “Suga” can see someone do something and he can do it right away. It is a very cool talent. “
O'Malley has this detailed and spoke about his admiration for McGregor and what he looks specifically at when he goes back to view the previous attacks of the Irishman.
“Yes, for the last few fights, before we go to the Arena, we just continue [UFC] Vechtpas, look at Conor. See how he walks outside, watch his body language and conor, he is the man. I love Conor, I have always loved Conor. I remember seeing his first fight in the UFC, such as: “That guy will be good.” '
Conor McGregor previously offered to train with Sean O'Malley and Tim Welch
Following the tensions that existed between them after a number of destructive exchanges, Sean O'Malley and Conor McGregor have solved things.
After O'Malley admitted that 'The Notorious' will always have played an important role in his career, the Irishman has expanded an olive branch.
McGregor wrote on X last October that he hoped that 'Suga' and Tim Welch would spend some time with training in Ireland under his coach, John Kavanagh.
“I tell you that he would regain his title. He still has a chance to certainly get it back, but for himself, and also his coach to spend a good month, to start, not long, but a good solid month under coach KAV at SBG. They would take a lot of knowledge with them and further to regain the gold. I would like to see it!”
