Sean Strickland admits to staph infection and reveals he suffered serious injury during awful UFC 312 fight camp

Sean Strickland has answered one of the most important questions that was asked before UFC 312.

The former middleweight champion failed in his attempt to become a dual title holder, when Dricus du Plessis broke his nose during a crooked unanimous decision victory in the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia last weekend.

Prior to the fight, the challenger seemed to walk around with a Staph infection on his arm.

Sean Strickland denied having a Staph infection – but he changed his number after losing UFC 312.

Sean Strickland had staph and broken bone for UFC 312

On Wednesday, Sean Strickland posted a four-minute video at 2.4 million Instagram followers.

It was a response to his coach, Eric Nicksick, who gave a brutal honest assessment of the UFC 312 Main Event.

In the video, Strickland admitted that he had tackled a Staph infection and another serious injury problem.

The word 'struggle' was used to describe what he considered a disastrous camp for his Rematch with Dricus du Plessis.

“That entire Vechtkamp was just a struggle. It was a struggle, “said Strickland.

“This is not an excuse, but that whole was just a struggle of 'I am good' knowing that you are not good.

“I was out for eight or seven weeks in Columbia to get stem cells on a broken bone. Again, the bone healed fine. It is not an excuse, but it just weighs a bit in mind … All the camp is in mind and you just keep telling yourself that you are good.

“All the camp, man, whether it is the Staph infection, the broken arm, have a visa, only be approved in the week, being unable to get Corornen there … This whole camp was A struggle of, I am not good, but I look in the mirror and say: 'Sack Up'. “

What is the next step for Sean Strickland?

After having had two defeats for Du Plessis, Strickland has cut out his work to secure a trilogy with the King from 185 pounds.

A rematch with Israel Adesanya was presented by the champion after he had defeated Strickland on UFC 312.

What is next time, it seems that Strickland is looking for a new coach to guide him in future fighting.

Nicksick, who is publicly labeling his performance 'uninspired', apparently ended their working relationship.

“I love Eric, he is a friend of mine and he continues to become a friend of mine. Will he probably be in my corner? Probably not, “said Strickland at the start of his video report.
