The former UFC champion middleweight is nothing, if not a very unique character in the sport.
Sean Strickland is far from your usual mixed martial artist, both in the way he talks and the fighting style that he implements.
The often controversial 185-pound competition is sure of the peloton, whether he is on the microphone or competes in the Octagon.
In recent years a lot has been made of the style of Strickland, using a defensive scale to make it difficult for opponents to find gaps to exploit.
Another way in which he does this is by not taking too many risks, an arsenal of mainly Jabs and Voorkicks that leaves him not overexposed.
He will now look at this same, busy game plan on UFC 312 when he is confronted with Dricus du Plessis in a rematch for the title of the middleweight.

Sean Strickland catches Bruna Brasil who copies his unique fighting style
In a recent video posted on social media, UFC Flyweight Bruna Brasil was seen that got some padding in a UFC sports school in Sydney, Australia.
The Brazilian will take on the Chinese Cong Wang in the Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday evening and she has her colleague fighting teammate Caio Borralho with her on Fight Week, who has also trained with Sean Strickland recently.
As he goes through their training, Brasil Pads is starting to touch the same style that Strickland uses, including the boxing combinations, pre -chicken, shoulder rolls and framing.
One of the athletes on the mat beckons Strickland with the former middleweight champion who gets a kick from the accurate impression of Brasil before he walks away.
Sean Strickland must make adjustments to recover the middleweight title
Sean Strickland may not have defeated Dricus du Plessis in their first meeting at UFC 297, but he did have some success with his style.
Unfortunately for the defending champion on that night, his opponent was able to land more by throwing striking strikes to a high volume that made him hand through a split decision.
The style of Strickland is effective, but 'Still Knocks' has already proven that he can overcome that by not being discouraged when he attacks and fogs.
It is for the challenger to try to take advantage of those mistakes to arrange the score with the South African champion.
