Sean Strickland considering fighting outside of the UFC with a lengthy suspension looming

Sean Strickland is considering fighting outside the UFC with his future in the best promotion that is currently being assessed.

The former UFC Middleweight Champion has not fought in the Octagon earlier this year when he took on Dricus du Plessis in a rematch of the middleweight and again lost to the scorecards of the jury members.

Since then, Sean Strickland has waited for his time and calculated with whom he can make his return when he looks to return to the win column and possibly the photo of the middleweight title.

And with that Strickland recently received a callout through his former enemy Israel Adesanya, but according to Adesanya, Strickland is not interested in fighting him and instead focuses on a fight against Belal Muhammad.

Strickland is considering fighting outside the UFC during the suspension

Although Strickland has been no longer active in the UFC since February, the controversial middleweight has continued to get the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Earlier this year, Strickland stormed De Kooi during a local MMA event in Las Vegas and hit a hunter who had just defeated his teammate.

And after the incident it was revealed that it was assessed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission as they were to punish the fight.

Not long after, Strickland's teammate Chris Curtis revealed that they had both been beaten with a fine and that the involvement of Strickland in the incident was further assessed.

This week it was revealed that Strickland has received a suspension extension from the NSAC and will remain suspended until a complete disciplinary hearing or assessment agreement has been reached and that will only happen in August.

And with that Strickland has responded to the news and is considering fighting outside the UFC fighting in an attempt to stay active.

“Yes man, indeed dark days. Does anyone want a boxing match for exhibition?” Said Strickland in an answer to a fan, according to Happy Punch.

Sean Strickland previously proclaimed Jake Paul

This is not the first time that the former UFC has considered the middleweight champion to bring his skills to the boxing world, because he launched an X-rated attack on Jake Paul earlier this year and called him for a boxing fight.

Although the 34-year-old is apparently interested in the Ring, that is unlikely in view of his contract with the UFC and the fact that his suspension covers every event punished by the NSAC, including boxing events.
