Sean Strickland has reversed his offer to stand and pop with Dricus du Plessis on UFC 312.
'Tarzan' and 'Still Knocks' Square in the main event of UFC 312 for the middleweight title of Du Plessis. Du Plessis took the strickland belt on UFC 297 and Strickland will be looking for a chance of redemption.
Strickland offered Du Plessis a pact to “stand up as men” where the struggle was forgotten and were only striking when they meet in their fight in Sydney. This was not going well with Du Plessis, who closed the Pact of Strickland and noted: “There are no peats between lions and men.”
Strickland has taken this on board and declined his men's agreement.

“I talk a lot about S *** Bro, but I don't give ***, you can struggle everything you want to struggle,” said Strickland. “It's funny to talk about S ***, it's funny for One-Liners, but you are an MMA hunter and I am an MMA hunter.

Sean Strickland's Gripping Skills
In the first place to work as a striker, Strickland's grab skills are rarely exhibited.
In its 22 UFC performances, Strickland has a percentage of 77 percent removed. He also protected 64 percent of his Takedowns. The most strikland secure was four in his victory over Uriah Hall in 2021.
Grappling was Strickland's undo against Du Plessis in their first fight. 'DDP' used cage control and branchedowns to absorb damage and control time that waved the scorecards to his advantage.
Du Plessis has an underrated wrestling pedigree and has once defeated a team of five Gracie Barra Black Belts back-to-back in a quintet struggling match. His opponents regularly combine Du Plessis' unconventional striking with his wrestling, only to discover that he is very competent on the spot.
In the middleweight title -eliminator of Du Plessis with Robert Whittaker, he used his wrestling with full effect. Du Plessis used a throw to ground a modest Whittaker before he floated it with elbows, which led to the finish later in the fight.
