Second Real Madrid star finished Atalanta game with muscle discomfort

The only negative news to come out of the White House on Tuesday evening was Kylian Mbappe's injury after Real Madrid's 3-2 win over Atalanta. However, concerns remain about Jude Bellingham's health.

Mbappe was released after half an hour against Atalanta after feeling some discomfort in his hamstring, but the same happened to Bellingham last Saturday after an hour against Girona. Bellingham went down after playing a long pass and catching a Girona player. Bellingham was taken off the field with muscle pain for Dani Ceballos, but was cleared to play against Atalanta.

According to MD, that discomfort has not completely disappeared. On several occasions he was seen touching the back of his thigh during the match against Atalanta, and did so again as he was taken off the pitch. Bellingham touched the same area that hurt him at Montilivi and came out of the Champions League match exhausted.

The revival of Los Blancos is still a work in progress, but Bellingham has been the main reason it started in the first place. He took his team forward with nine goals in his last seven games. Bellingham did speak to the press after the game and there was no mention of any injury, which is a positive sign.
