The hope of Senegal to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026 is back on the right track after a 2-0 win against Togo.
The Teranga Lions had a difficult start of the qualifications and went far away from the first place in the classification of group B.
With a victory against Togo today and a draw against Sudan last week, Senegal moved to second place in the group classification with 12 points and only one point behind leaders Dr. Congo.
In the match against Togo, goals from Pape Matar Sarr and Moussa Niakhate all earned all three points for Senegal.
The next round of competitions in African qualifications will be in September 2025. The teranga lions can propel the teranga lions to the top of the rankings of group B.
