Ortiz would not blow the whistle in front of the penalty until red -baring Lainez had left the field, where the striker slowly ran away at the opposite end of the field.

When the whistle was finally blown up, Guzman jumped around to Ramos, who had already started his run -up.

A bewildered fan wrote on X: “Did he really want to intimidate the biggest defender in history?”

Another said, “He almost made it. If he had made it, everyone would be quiet.”

While a third laughed: “Is this a real competition?”

Although Ramos wake the opener, it was a night to forget for Monterrey.

The visitors were just a few minutes from the victory in the Estadio Universitario, only to give two goals in a stop time.

The loss leaves Monterrey 9th in the Liga MX, with only 6 wins from 15 games.
