The former Captain of Real Madrid has passed a medical in the Spanish capital prior to a return to football.

Sergio Ramos has passed a medical in Madrid prior to moving to Rayados in the Mexican League. The former defender of Real Madrid reportedly spent more than 5 hours on various tests before he got the green light to cross the Atlantic to draw for his new club.

Since leaving Sevilla last summer, Ramos has been without a club. During his absence of football, he has been very public in terms of documenting his training regime, to prove to clubs around the world that his fitness is no reason to concern at the age of 38.

The defender won 22 trophies in Real Madrid, including guiding them to 4 champions competitions and 5 LaLala titles and became one of the great defenders of all time in the history of the club. His move to Rayados comes as an unexpected development in his great career that he had recently seen with various other clubs.

Serial tweeter and modern transferero fabrizio Romano posted online: “Sergio Ramos to Rayados, here we are going! Pre-contract signed today, he is ready to travel to Mexico for formal steps.

“After the chapter of Sevilla, Ramos plays in the Mexican league while he joins free transfer.”
