Serie A giants Juventus set to appoint Tudor as new manager

To say that the relationship between Juventus and Thiago Motta cracked, an understatement would be. After the second consecutive 3-0 from Bianceri in Florence, who followed a 4-0 home defeat against Atalanta, the owners and management reportedly realized that time has come for change.

Although sports director Cristiano Giuntoli appeared before the press to repeat his belief in Motta, the step was just to buy time, because there was still no agreement about the man to take over the Italo-Brazilian.

The lack of response from the team in a problematic competition situation because of the risk of dropping the Champions League zone, a vital qualification for the club financially, the directors had already made it clear that there is no time to lose.

The choice of coach, given the role he should play in the middle of the season, was between Roberto Mancini and Igor Tudor.

Giuntoli urged the former coach, but John Elkann would have preferred to entrust the team to a man of Temperament, a former player who knew the area well.

The choice therefore fell on the former coach of Lazio and Marseille, Tudor, who had flanked Pirlo in Juve for a short time, in another less than happy year for the Bianconeri.

It also seems that this transfer could take place before the match against Genoa, contrary to what was first assumed, when it was thought that the management wanted to wait for the team's reaction and then decide what to do.

In short, the adventure of Motta in Juventus seems to have come to an end. The Bianconeri will probably return to action with a new head coach to save what can be saved this season.
