Pablo Barrios' stop-time winner helped to close Atletico Madrid the gorge to the top two in Laliga after a 2-1 win away to Seville.
The side of Diego Simeone benefited from the results of Saturday after leaders Barcelona were held by Real Betis, while Real Madrid was stunned by Valencia.
Atletico is now seven points behind Barcelona in the rankings, with their victory on Sunday also a six-match Winless Streak about all competitions.
Sevilla opened the score in the seventh minute due to the fine finish of Lucien Agoume from outside the box and completed a quick counterattack by the Garcia Pimienta team.
But Atletico had the opportunity to recover parity just before half -timepiece when Conor Gallagher was polluted in the penalty area by Sevilla Captain Loic Bald.
Julian Alvarez took the responsibility for the Spot-Kick, stepped up and sent Orjan Nyland in the wrong way for his 12th LABERA target of the season.
Neither of the two parties was able to eliminate clear opportunities after the break, with Sevilla's Nemanja Gudelj close afterwards before Alvarez Nyland tested shortly thereafter.
In the second minute of the second half of the interruption time, Barrios' moving run ended of deep end with a curly left -wing finish that nestled in the top left corner.
Data debrief: Atletico leaves it again
Atletico has now scored five 90+ minutes of winning goals this season in Laliga, two of which have come against Seville, at least two more than any other team in the competition (three for Mallorca and Villarreal).
But they had to come from behind after the opener of Agoume. Indeed, his goal, Timed at 7:00 minutes, is the third of the restrictive goal that Sevilla scored against Atletico in the 21st century, after Ivan Rakitic in 2021 (06:41) and Luis Fabiano in 2010 (04:55).
The victory of Atletico also saw both meetings with Seville win in the same LaLiga season for the fourth time in the Diego Simeone era (2012-13, 2017-18 and 2022-23).
