Shavkat Rakhmonov reacts to missing out on welterweight title fight against Belal Muhammad at UFC 315

Shavkat Rakhmonov will have to wait longer for his UFC Welterweight title after the surprising announcement of Dana White.

After an extremely impressive run in the UFC in which Shavkat Rakhmonov had retained his 100% finishing interest rate, he eventually received a goodweight title shot against Belal Muhammad on UFC 310.

Unfortunately for the Kazakh, Mohammed withdrew from the fight after a broken toe and the subsequent bone infection. Rakhmonov then stayed on the map and then took a decision gain against Ian Machado Garry.

After his victory, Rakhmonov faced Mohammed after the champion entered the cage, which suggests that their fight would be being converted, but things have again taken an unlikely turn.

Shavkat Rakhmonov responds to Belal Muhammad vs Jack della Maddalena on UFC 315

Last Wednesday, UFC -Baas, Dana White, surprisingly announced that Muhammad will take on Jack della Maddalena on 10 May on UFC 315, which deposits the defense of his title of 170 pounds.

The news came as a huge shock because the consensus was that Rakhmonov would get the title shot after missing in December. And not only that, but Jack della Maddalena was planned to compete against Leon Edwards in UFC London.

After Della Maddalena was upgraded to the title fight, Edwards will now record Sean Brady in the Main Event of UFC London on March 22.

After the WHITE announcement, Rakhmonov shared his response to social media and revealed that he actually got the title fight on UFC 315, but this time injury excluded him.

Big thanks to the UFC for offering the shot on the belt first. Unfortunately, because of injury, I am not ready for May. I will be in front of the winner later this year! 👊õ

After the victory of Rakhmonov at Machado Garry at UFC 310, commentator, Daniel Cormier, revealed that Rakhmonov fought with a torn MCL, with the cause of the delay for his title shot.

When can Shavkat Rakhmonov ultimately fight for the UFC -Welterweight title?

Unfortunately for the 30-year-old he now has to play the waiting game and he will keep an eye on the Main Event of UFC 315 extremely.

Della Maddalena has called to combat Rakhmonov a number of times, because the two have had comparable routes against the top of the 170LB division.

The Kazakh will hope that neither hunter will absorb a serious injury on 10 May, because that can cause a further delay for his title shot, but both hunters have recently been seriously injured.

Della Maddalena suffered a broken hand in his last fight against Gilbert Burns last March and that is why he has not been active since then.

If the winner comes out relatively intatively, Rakhmonov can expect to finally fight for the Welterweight belt by the end of the year, probably October.
