UFC lightweight competition Beneil Dariush is confused by the potential lightweight Matchup between Ilia Topuria and Paddy Pimblett.
Last Saturday, Ilia Topuria became the new UFC light weight champion after switching off Charles Oliveira on spectacular fashion at the UFC 317 Main Event.
Immediately after the fight, Topuria was confronted with his potential next opponent when Paddy Pimblett was brought into the cage for a spontaneous face with the newly crowned champion.
Nevertheless, UFC boss Dana White admitted that he was not happy with the decision to leave 'The Baddy' in the Achthoek after the fight.

Beneil Dariush hits potential fight between Topuria and Pimblett
Follow the words of White with regard to the spontaneous face, it is unclear whether the Brit will be the next title -challenger or whether the promotion will follow a different route.
Topuria and Pimblett have a long -term feud and the fight will be considered one of the greatest fighting in the UFC history when it takes place.
Nevertheless, the opening betting were released last Sunday and 'El Matador' was opened as a huge -600 favorite to retain his title in a potential collision.
And a lightweight competition who has admitted his confusion with the potential fight is Benuil Dariush. 'Benny D' participated in the UFC 317 Undercard and took a decision win against Renato Moicano.
“Ilia's performance was a master class, you can't deny that guy, he is very good, he is the elite of the elite. As far as Paddy goes in, I don't know why they did that,” Dariush explained to the Schmo.
“It's almost true, I feel that you are feeding the child to the lions, but you never know, he may have something that we don't know for Ilia … It's like a sheep for the slaughter … I really don't know, but so far Ilia hasn't looked like stopping,” he went on.
Dariush continued to say that he believes that Arman Tsarukyan is the most deserving challenger, but White's post -combat reactions suggest that the Armenian will not be chosen.
Ilia Topuria does not think that super fight against Islam Makhachev will happen
'El Matador' has always been extremely hopeful that he would fight against Islam Makhachev, but with the Russian planned to go to good weight, that fight will be less likely.
After his victory last Saturday, Topuria claimed that the superfight would probably not happen, taking into account conversations he had previously had with the UFC.
