Leeds stunned Sheffield United when they returned to 3-1 in their Promotierace.
The visitors were a goal before they shot back late in the second half to achieve all three points.
They are now five points for Sheffield United, who had been in control of the last 25 minutes for the last 25 minutes, but did not succeed in wearing an unfortunate Illan Meslier-own goal.
That is now 19 games since Leeds lost a Yorkshire Derby – on the bitter rivals of United Sheffield on Wednesday on Elland Road in January 2020.
Leeds is now unbeaten in 16 champion matches – with 11 wins and five draw – after they have not been lost since Blackburn transferred them in November.
Pascal Struijk returned to the team after he had come off the bank to score twice in a 2-1 Comeback victory on Sunderland on Elland Road last Monday.
Illan Meslier had the hearts of Leeds twice in the mouth in the opening for 10 minutes.
First a long throw was lined and the keeper dropped the ball before he managed to gather in the second attempt.
But then he claimed to be clattered when he came out to hit the ball and Ilia Gruev walked the ball off the line.
Yet there was no preventing the blades from moving.

The cross of Ben Brereton Diaz was fantastic and Callum O'Hare's Flicked Header was outrageous and sent it over the top of Meslier.
He made a stunning salvation to push the ball to the bar. The ball bounced down and Tyrese Campbell went the ball to the right post, but the ball hit the back of Meslier to bend it over the line.
And the hosts should have double the lead when O'Hare simply did not reach any other quality cross in the box – this time from Harrison Burrows.

He had a simple square pass for Firpo, who smelled with his teammate.

And the knives regained control of the procedure.
Campbell was clearly sent to Joe Rodon, but Meslier managed to first get to the ball and keep it in the area while he slid into it.
Leeds applied Mateo Joseph and Joe Rothwell for Aaronson and Gruev.
Souza had an excavation of 25 meters, but it was straight in the throat of Meslier.
The visitors did twice on appeal.
James went to a challenge from Jack Robinson, but it was imaginative to think they would get a place.
Then ex-magazines Jayden Bogle's Cross hit the arm of cave but ref David Webb that it was not in an unnatural position.
Leeds had a glorious opportunity to be the same when Solomon of 16 meters half volleyde over the bar.
And they got it against the game.
James provided the cross and Firo provided a header past Cooper to generate wild scenes in the end.
Piroe then forced Cooper in a fine low salvation on his right side and kept a powerful Wilfried Gnonto outside.
