Diego Simeone praised the versatility of Alexander Sorloth after the sensational show of Atletico Madrid Striker against Real Sociedad.
Sorloth scored all the goals of Atleti in a 4-0 route in the Metropolitano Stadium on Saturday, while the Simeone team consolidated their hold in third place in LaLiga.
The Norwegian completed the fastest hat trick in the history of Laliga within the 11 -minute opening, before the further shine was added to the half -hour.
“I was very happy with the first half of the team in general. Alex is of course a completely different matter,” Simeone told reporters.
“He had a fantastic night, especially the first 45 minutes, where he decided to finish every ball that came his way.
“That enabled us to take control of the game and bring it to a place that we had never thought before the game started.”
Although he became atleti in the competition this season with 17 goals, Sorloth only started 13 top games this season.
“If we follow the figures, he scored more goals in the second half – except today, of course,” said Simeone.
“What I like about him is that he is important at any time and context of the game you can imagine.
“If we have to attack, he gives us a strong offensive weight in the area. If we counterattacks, he has good for that. And if we are closed and have to defend, his physicality will make us out of uncomfortable situations.
“He plays the game that the team needs and gets the best out of his football and goals.”

Sorloth, who came to Atleti from Villarreal last August, gave his teammates the honor to contribute to his clinical performance.
“The balls fell at my feet, my teammates gave me really good passes,” he said after he stopped one of his old clubs on the sword.
“I am very happy. I hope to be in Laliga for many years and have more games like this. I had trouble starting the season well.
“I started improving in October and November. Now my teammates know me better.
“It was the same situation as last season when I scored four goals against Real Madrid and had a shot at the post. Today was like a flashback.”
Sorloth was responsible for five of the 13 shots of Atleti, with his migration from 0.98 expected goals when he showed a clinical level of finish.
