Atletico is third in the rankings, nine points behind leaders Barcelona and six drift of city rivals Real Madrid prior to Sunday's trip to the 11th placed Sevilla.

Atletico also crashed the Copa del Rey in Barca in the midweek, while last month they also members an exit from the Champions League to Los Blancos.
The Liga title represents Atletico's some chance to lift silverware this season, and Simeone looks at his players to rebuild this weekend in the competition in the competition.
“The team works well, the focus is now on Liga, and we have to compete until the end in the best way,” Simeone told reporters on Saturday.
Asked if his side was strong enough to fight for the title, he said, “Yes.”

Simeone said, however, that there was still room for growth in his team and added that he had built an inheritance at the club.
“Since I arrived in Atletico, I have always pursued pure growth and I believe there is still a lot of room for it,” said Simeone, who has managed Atletico since 2011.
“What used to be 'Hope and Maybes' are now real possibilities. But the most important thing is the legacy we leave.
“We compete very well against Real Madrid and Barcelona. I recently told the players, I am proud of them for the inheritance they leave.
“The beauty lies in walking that path. The players have played well, although they have no results, so Sevilla will be a difficult match.”
Atletico confirmed that Rodrigo de Paul and Samuel Lino will probably miss the game on Sunday due to low muscle injuries.
Simeone said that midfielder Koke could return to the side to Sevilla after she had not played in all their last nine games in all games because of a muscle injury.
