Sir Alex Ferguson gatecrashes Ferdinand’s podcast but refuses to make appearance

Sir Alex Ferguson has brilliantly led an episode of the Rio Ferdinand podcast.

But the legendary former boss of Manchester United did not want to be too involved.

As part of his Rio Meets series, Ferdinand sat down with former United and West Ham teammate Michael Carrick.

The couple was chatting in an apparently abandoned bar that memories of Carrick's career.

About 48 minutes after their chat they were incredibly interrupted by Ferguson.

Ferguson wore a white shirt and smart gray pants and walked directly to his former star men, apparently not realizing that they were recording.

The 83-year-old asked, “What is this?” To which Ferdinand stopped what he had said and answered, “Okay boss?”

Ferguson had Ferdinand in stitches while he swirled with his finger and swore: “I don't do this podcast.”

The former defender of United and England said, “No, no, no, we're going to talk afterwards. You're going to get a coffee boss.”

Carrick chimde in it: “We're just finished now. Don't worry, this is not for you.”

Ferdinand then dared to joke: “You didn't dress for the camera boss?”

While he walked away, Ferguson joked: “I just wanted to listen to the nonsense you are talking.”

The iconic shot went and was on the next table off-camera, but still had an interruption for the show.

About five minutes after his dramatic entrance, Ferguson's phone rose loudly when Ferdinand and Carrick were still chatting.

The feed then pledged to Ferguson and answered the call, with Ferdinand and Carrick again.

Nostalgic man Utd -fans on social media kept the interaction of it.

One called it a “classic Sir Alex Moment”.

While a second wrote: “See the fear and respect so far wow.”

A third admitted: “I miss Sir Alex so badly.”

And another added: “This is so great to watch.

“The amount of respect that the former players still have for Sir Alex Ferguson is proof of his impact on not only their sports journey, but also their personal lives.”
