Sir Dave Brailsford ‘steps back from Man Utd’ as Sir Jim Ratcliffe plans major reshuffle after disastrous season

Sir Dave Brailsford goes a step back in his role at Manchester United.

The relocation comes as part of a large re -derestation that is planned by Ineos Head Honcho Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

According to The Times, Brailsford will reduce his dedication to Man Utd and return to his role as director of Sport for Ineos.

Brailsford, famous for his so-called 'marginal win' ideology from cycling, went down as a team head of Ineos Grenadiers when Ratcliffe bought his minority stake in the Red Devils.

He then took the lead on football activities at the club and has been in that role to implement change in the club for a year.

However, the season was nothing less than a disaster after United had ended a record-run 15th in the Premier League.

They will also be without European football for the first time in ten years next season after losing the Europa League final from Tottenham.

Nevertheless, Brailsford, 61, is credited by the British billionaire Ratcliffe when revising the arrangement of the performance at Man Utd.

He was also heavily involved in the redevelopment plan of £ 50 million for the Carrington Training Ground of the club and setting the goals that are set out in Mission 21 to allow both Man Utd men and women to win from competition titles.

The report adds that Geraint Thomas will play a senior leadership role at the professional bicycle team of Ineos when he retires as a rider at the end of this season.

The step back from Brailsford comes at a time when Ineos reduces his sporting obligations.

In recent months alone, the Petrochemicals Giant has terminated its sponsorship agreement with the All Blacks, concluded an advertising agreement with Spurs and ending the pursuit of Sailing's America's Cup.

The team unit of the Ineos Sport led by Brailsford – in a reduced capacity since he came to Man Utd – will again manage United's Sister Club Nice after they did not qualify for the Champions League.

Nice was placed by UEFA in a so-called “blind trust agreement” to ensure that there was no violation of the multi-club rules of the organization.

Man Utd has had a lot of revolution in senior management since Ineos took over.

Dan Ashworth was brought in as director of football, but left the lead after only five months.

Moreover, around 450 employees are attached as part of sweeping cuts.

And this is not to mention the dismissing of Erik ten Hag after he initially supported him in their first summer.
