Sir Jim Ratcliffe has declared war against the bloated wage account at Manchester United.
Co-owner Sir Jim promised to lower the wages of players after years of decline on the field.
Salaries for new signing sessions and stars that try to negotiate again will be scaled back enormously.
And in a different cost -saving movement that is designed to breathe new life into the glory days, huge bonuses are offered instead – but only when the results improve.
A united source revealed: “The club is on its way to performance -based contracts. This was discussed with agents in the future.
“We will still pay competitive, but we have to manage our wage account and ensure that we get value for money.”
The shake-up will be deducted from new signing sessions until the Ruben Amorim team starts challenges for awards.
But it will also meet players who would like to negotiate new long -term deals.
This includes Midfield Ace Kobbie Mainoo, whose long -term contract discussions have been stuck about his wage requirements.
The 19-year-old Mainoo Current at £ 20,000 a week-ZOU wants a new deal worth £ 150,000 a week.

But Ratcliffe refuses to admit and is determined to change the culture in United after a disastrous season.
They are 14th in the table with only five wins in 17 Premier League matches under Amorim.
Their only hope for silverware This term is in the Europa League.
Tonight they organize Real Sociedad in the last 16 with the score on 1-1 after the first stage of last week.
Sir Jim's last Penny-Pinching measure will probably seduce the chances of United Daning this summer new players.
But he thinks that the club has rewarded failure for too long and in an interview this week, he revealed that the team was “not good enough”.
He also said that he had agreed 450 employees because the “bloated” club “would go for Christmas”.
The legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson, 83, also got off his role as an ambassador so that the Red Devils could save £ 2 million a year.
This summer the club will spend around £ 100 million on transfer costs for six players they already have.
Billionaire Sir Jim, 72, has blocked: “Some are not good enough and some have probably been paid too much.
“The figures were quite scary because they had a kind of lost control.
“The club has spent more money than he has earned for the past seven years and it ends in a very difficult place.
“And for Manchester United that place ended at the end of 2025, with the club without cash.”
Ratcliffe said the club this summer Jadon Sancho, Antony, Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Lisandro Martinez, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund should “buy”.
Sir Jim added: “If we don't buy anyone else, we buy those players. We have inherited those things and have to figure it out.
“For Sancho, who now plays for Chelsea and we pay half of his wages, we pay £ 17 million to buy it.”
Sir Jim bought a 28.94 percent interest in the club 13 months ago in a £ 1.3 billion deal with his Ineos group taking over control over football activities.
But United is more than £ 1 billion in debts – thanks to the way in which the majority owners have run the glazers the club – and have lost more than £ 300 million in the past three years.
Protesting fans have engaged the co-owner, with some singing: “Just like the glassers, Jim Ratcliffe's AC ***”.
On Tuesday, Sir Jim revealed plans for a stunning new stadium of £ 2 billion, 100,000 seats – with many questions how it would be paid.
The project – which he hopes to complete in just five years – promises an injection of £ 7.3 billion into the economy.
It will redevelop the area around the new land with 17,000 houses, hundreds of shops and restaurants and dozens of hotels.
