Sir Ratcliffe’s Man United job cuts ‘left youth coaches and children in tears’

Man United Youth Coaches and players were reportedly left in tears in the midst of job losses at the club's academy, claimed a new report.

Earlier this week, the club announced plans to make more redundancies, where the staff would be expected to learn their fate in April.

The redundancies follows 250 job reductions made last year among minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos.

According to The Sun, the first wave of cutbacks included a number of coaches in the arrangement of the club of the club.

The report claims that respected academic coaches had been informed that their jobs were at risk in July, prior to welcome young players for this season.

Coaches were reportedly left in tears at the prospect, with some children would have been demolished, while other Academy players tried to comfort staff members.

“How the club acted was outrageous,” a public father told the sun.

'It was as if you were waiting all summer and then plundered all the teachers at the first time of the time – for the children.

“Some coaches were crying, some children cried – and parents wondered:” What the hell is it going on? “

The report states that Man United Academy director Nick Cox later set an e-mail for parents to explain that the move was part of a cost-saving drive that focused on making the club a 'more skinny and agile organization'.

The arrangement of the United youth team is one of the best in the world and is praised for producing a successive rise of world -class

Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are two of the most recent graduates who have become key figures in the first team of Erik ten Hag and their national parties respectively.

Seven members of the academy personnel, including three of the longest serving employees of United, belonged to the people who were aware during the meetings in July that their jobs were the first risk of dismissal.

The final round of job reductions was announced on Monday to the staff in Old Trafford by Chief Executive Omar Berrada and Chief Operating Officer Collette Roche.

The cuts take the total number of dismissals to 450 within a year, which represents a third of the club's workforce.

Man United announced the latest cutbacks as part of a plan to 'strengthen financial sustainability and to modernize its operational structure'.

“Manchester United will transform its business structure as part of a series of additional measures to improve the financial sustainability of the club and to improve operational efficiency,” the club said.

“The transformation plan is intended to reduce the club to profitability after five consecutive years of losses since 2019. This will create a more solid financial platform where the club can invest in the success of men and ladies and an improved infrastructure.”
