Roy Keane insisted that Liverpool should bring in more players if they want to keep their Premier League title this season.
After the victory of Arsenal over Man United on Sunday, Keane and colleague Sky Sports Pundits Micah Richards and Daniel Sturridge were given the task of giving their predictions for the 2025-26 campaign.
The trio each selected a top five, but nobody could agree on which team the trophy will be in its hands at the end of May.
In his predictions, Keane Mikel Arteta supported Arsenal about the bump and to claim the title after three consecutive second -placed finishes.
Keane then placed Liverpool second, followed by Man City and Newcastle, with Chelsea who completed his top five.
However, the usually relentless Irishman qualified his prediction, by noticing that Liverpool will make up two victories on the bouncing if they can strengthen their team before the end of the transfer window.
“Depending on signing sessions, if we can change ideas, I am convinced that Liverpool can get a different center of center, I would go with Liverpool,” said Keane on Sky Sports.
The Reds enjoyed a productive summer on the transfer market while Arne Slot seems to build on the success of his first year on Merseyside.
Hugo Ekitike has already had an impact on the Reds alongside Marquee arrival Florian Wirtz and the club is still supposed to pursue a movement for Newaway Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
With regard to defensive reinforcements, the club is repeatedly connected to a movement for Crystal Palace Captain Marc Guehi.
In the meantime, former Man City defender Richards supported his boys' club to return to the top of the Berg after a bad campaign according to their standards last season.
Keane, however, stated that he still feels the side of Pep Guardiola time to return to their best.
“I usually never bet against Pep and City,” Keane added.
'I just think they may be defensive, and I know they have thrown James Trafford there, and I think he is a real top goalkeeper, but I just have that gut feeling that I think Arsenal could do it this year.
'But as I said, I think if Liverpool gets a center half and I would certainly change my mind on Liverpool.
“Even looking at Liverpool, sometimes when Liverpool is not even added, or even city, if they are not at their best, they still score two or three goals.”
Sturridge joined Richards to claim that one of his former clubs will go completely, because the ex-liverpool striker claimed that the Reds have what is needed.
Just like Keane, however, the 35-year-old claimed that the club would benefit from strengthening their team depth.
'[Liverpool] A strong team, but I think they might need one or two additions to reinforce. “Said Sturridge.
'I think they need a defender, and of course another attacker. They are a bit short in both areas. '
