Slot delivers injury update on Arnold and Konate ahead of Carabao Cup final

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is confronted with an extensive enchantment on the sidelines with an ankle injury, but head coach Arne Slot insists that he will be back before the end of the season.

The 26-year-old was wounded in the second half of the Champions League defeat by Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday and his absence Slot late without a recognized back for Sunday's Carabao Cup final, while Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez still recover from injuries.

Liverpool leaders are 23 points ahead of Newcastle in the Premier League and 15 above Arsenal in second place.

It seems almost certain that the competition title will end this season in Anfield, but the hope of the Reds now trusts a double on Carabao Cup Glory, after the exit on Tuesday from Europe and the shock loss of February against Plymouth in the FA Cup.
