Arsenal Legend Sol Campbell has encouraged the club to explain their reasons for signing Noni Madueke.
The side of Mikel Arteta agreed a £ 52 million deal with Chelsea to sign the English international, which gave the green light to the move last week.
It comes after more than 2700 Arsenal fans have signed a petition to express their displeasure in signing the former PSV wing player.
And Gunners-legend Campbell is of the opinion that the club should provide clarity about how Madueke will fit into the team, although he believes that the 23-year-old will be a good addition to the team.
“I have seen him play, and he is a very dynamic, keep-ining species player who can cause problems when he comes in the last third part,” Campbell told the metro.
“I think most people probably think:” Do we need him? ” He is a quality player, but I think the club should explain why they get certain players and how it fits into our system.
“It is important to explain that to the players and the fans.”
On the surface, Madueke would currently make a great rotation option for Arsenal in both left and right wing, and he still has room to develop.
However, there had also been doubts about the discipline of the player, who were omitted twice by Chelsea, one of which was about a reported poor training performance.
He was then omitted from the starting XI for Chelsea's Club World Cup semi -final collision with Fluminense earlier this week with Enzo Maresca apparently not convinced that his only focus was on his current side.
A report from The Guardian also claimed that Chelsea believes that the player did not fully go into the jumps and boundaries that they thought he could have that after he had signed him two and a half months ago.
At that time he played 92 games, but he managed only 20 goals – including one in the final of the Conference League – and nine assists.
Madueke was signed from PSV Eindhoven for £ 26 million, with the blues who now double his money in a sale to one of their greatest rivals at a time that they could do with recingency of funds.
