Spain international closing in on Premier League club swap

Premier League side Bournemouth wants to keep Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga permanent permanent in the club next season.

Kepa returned to Chelsea last summer, after a seasonal loan in Real Madrid, in the 2023/24 season.

However, he was quickly added to a list of potential departure when the new blues boss Enzo Maresca wanted to discharge players who did not meet his plans.

Kepa was told that he could continue, but the Spanish international opted for a transfer away from Stamford Bridge, with a loan to Bournemouth finally agreed.

The former Athletic Club Stopper is impressed among the posts for the Andoni Iraola team, while his career sees new life with the Cherries.

Despite his fall of the first team rominence at Chelsea, Kepa will remain the most expensive goalkeeper in history after his relocation of € 80 million from Bilbao in 2018, and he will be moving again in 2025.

Bournemouth pushes hard for a very first European qualifying place in the season run and Iraola wants Kepa to be part of the adventure when they get there in 2025/26.

Kepa has left for another year to his contract in Chelsea, but reports from the Daily Telegraph indicate that a deal can be concluded to arrange its wages, whereby Bournemouth pays part of it instead of transfer costs.

His place back in Chelsea is unchanged, despite Maresca's struggle to get a solid no. 1 with Kepa's colleague spaniard Robert Sanchez who is struggling and Jorgensen does not convince the manager.

Kepa could also put a permanent move to Bournemouth on the Spain radar of Luis de la Fuente with his latest international performance in 2023.

Unai Simon and David Raya are currently fighting to be the first choice, with the last in the lead, which means that Kepa should be pleased with a back -up place if he was re -introduced into the team.
